This 21-inch circular oil painting features a hauntingly beautiful portrait of a young woman.
Rendered in a tondo (circular) format, the piece captures the subject in a moment of quiet introspection. She is depicted with long, dark wavy hair and a direct, melancholic gaze from striking green eyes that seem to follow the viewer. Her vibrant red lips provide a focal point against her pale complexion, while she wears a draped garment in a deep, lustrous emerald green.
The composition is defined by a bold, high-contrast color palette, placing the detailed figure against a flat, luminous yellow-orange background. This minimalist backdrop emphasizes the subject's emotional depth and the evocative nature of the title, suggesting a reflective look back through time.
