This oil painting depicts a woman in a flowing blue dress submerged underwater, appearing to float in a state of serene weightlessness. Her eyes are closed and her head is tilted back, conveying a sense of peace or surrender.
Her long, dark hair fans out around her head, drifting upward toward the surface. Above her, several vibrant green lily pads float on the water, with soft light filtering down from the top of the frame to illuminate her face and the folds of her dress. The background is a murky, deep green-blue, creating an ethereal and dreamlike atmosphere.
